Upstairs in the surgery we have a large meeting room suitable for PCG or Postgraduate Education meetings. The room has a number of lighting settings and the walls are suitable for projection. A spare telephone socket for connection to the internet via our ISDN lines is fitted. If you would like to use this room, please contact the practice manager.

Also available for use is our large, bright Health Promotion Room suitable for group meetings for up to 30 people.

Requests for access to medical records and medical reports for solicitors and insurance companies take up a considerable amount of our receptionists time. We are unable to release the original medical records but are happy to supply photocopies for a fee of Ł10 plus photocopying charges. (Charges agreed between the Law Society and the BMA). Some records are extremely large, however. If the charges are likely to be high we will try and let you know in advance or invite you to photocopy them on the premises yourselves instead.

Dr. Hedges has had several years experience in producing medical reports for solicitors in personal injury cases for non-registered patients. Contact him directly if you wish to make use of this service.

All of the doctors are able to perform medical examinations for insurance companies and can usually do so at short notice if required. In addition, we are able to perform ECGs, blood tests and HIV counselling and have access to local X-ray and laboratory facilities.

Legal Stuff

We are unable to supply medical records or medical reports without the written consent of the patient or his/her guardian.

We are happy to supply statistical information on our patients on anonymysed data only by prior arrangement.

Fees for non-nhs and non-gms services are charged at the BMA's published suggested rates.
